Did you know Tandoori Nights was the second ever Asian sitcom to appear on British TV back in 1985? Well, it's an interesting fact, and the comedy was quite good too. There were these two rival Indian restaurants battling it out for trade and family harmony in London's Brick Lane...
Luckily things are one helluva lot calmer in modern-day Covent Garden. Tandoori Nights may share the same name but that's just about all. This is one flock wallpaper and feud free establishment, serving more of the West than the East End. It's built up a loyal following of curry-lovers - people who really know their tikka masala from their rogan josh.
We would recommend this as a relaxing place to meet before a night out on the town or before the curtain goes up. It's never crushingly busy, or deafeningly noisy or over-rushed in fact. So pretty much the ideal central spot. And all us non meat-eaters appreciate the mouth-watering choice such a good Indian menu gives us.
