Cargo manages the wonderful trick of being lived in but not tatty, urban but not pretentious and cool but not elitist. It welcomes all, and all should come visit.

Built in three railway arches (one for the bar, one for the club and one for eats) Cargo serves superior bar food. The chorizo sandwich had three layers of the Spanish sausage, along with sweet potato, sour cream and tomato in a focaccia. Fries were skinny and perfectly crisp and a side order of velvety baba ganoush was smokey without being overpowering.

Hefty wooden tables and stools make up the furniture and the outside seating is opposite a stylish bit of graffiti, any Hoxtonite would be proud of.
